New pub creates 50 jobs

The Forest House pub has just opened in Chester under the JD Wetherspoon franchise, it has been reported, Around 50 local jobs have been created by the move.

The news comes after five months of development, which is said to have cost £1.4 million.

Situated in Love Street, it joins a fellow Wetherspoon pub called The Square Bottle in Foregate Street, which has been open since September 1995.

Pub manager Helen Cazaly told the publication: “I am looking forward to welcoming customers into The Forest House. I am confident the pub will be a good addition to Chester’s social scene.”

According to the Wetherspoon website, it aims to open approximately 35-40 new pubs per year, which may mean good news for people wanting a career with a growing company.

It claims to offer “excellent pay”, in addition to a range of other benefits from bonuses to childcare assistance.
