Liverpool is to get another Travelodge. Moving to increase the budget sector’s 13 per cent UK market share as business travellers look for cheaper options, the chain yesterday announced the exchange of contracts on 12 new hotels at a combined investment value of £77m. The Liverpool hotel will be a standalone building including 66 bedrooms on the Stonebridge Retail Park and is set to open at the end of this year. The developer is Whitestone Scotfield.
