Event company boss Liz Taylor of the Taylor Lynn Corporation (TLC) has announced the completion of the sale of her linen hire business this month, the Manchester based Table Linen Company, to linen manufacturer Pauline Alam for an undisclosed sum. As part of the deal, the Table Linen Company will continue to lease space in the headquarters premises of TLC based in Old Trafford, Manchester and will remain a preferred supplier to the events company.
TLC managing director, Liz Taylor, commented that: “I am very proud with what we have achieved in creating the linen company. It has become a successful, innovative and exciting business over the last few years, supplying some of the biggest and most high profile events and companies in the country.
“The time now seemed right to sell the company to another investor who can continue to work with the company’s excellent team and take the business even further. The sale will also allow me additional time to focus on developing my very busy events business.”
The TLC development strategy has included a £650 000 capital investment and acquisition of £0.5 million, ½ acre site on the edge of the city centre which has now been redeveloped to house TLC’s company headquarters and showrooms. In 2008, Liz Taylor steered the business through an amicable buy-out of business partner Dianne Lynn and the business now employs 25 people in Manchester, plus provides employment for numerous event entertainers, caterers, casual event staff and other suppliers to its hundreds of events throughout the year.
