Manchester chefs association steering group announced

The steering group for Manchester Chefs Association have now formally adopted the Northwest Chefs constitution at its meeting on Tuesday 30th June held at the Manchester Tourist Boards offices on Dale Street.

 

The steering group, which will oversee and coordinate the activities of the sub-regional association, is headed up with the two chef Governors for Manchester John Benson-Smith and Ian Matfin.

 

The steering group members are:

 

John Benson-Smith       Chef Governor

Kay Johnson                 Head of Hospitality at Trafford College

Dawn Holding               Spirit Marketing

Rachel Heaton              Food & Drink lead at Manchester Tourism

Joanne Wood               Skills at Manchester Tourism

Shaun Turner                Director or Northwest Chefs Association

 

Shaun Turner, founding director of Northwest Chefs Association said; “The Manchester chefs steering group have now held two meetings and already there is a huge appitiate to organise events that support the regions chefs and food producers.  Our first event is likely to take place in October and will see an exciting competition take place between the best of the best chefs in the Manchester region culminating in a Great Manchester Menu celebration dinner.

 

The steering group will be announcing chef and producer patrons in the coming weeks.
