Wharton Lock wins gold

A Chester self-catering apartment has become the only property in Chester, and one of only two in Cheshire, to be awarded a coveted ‘Gold’ rating by national tourism agency, VisitEngland. 

The award has been presented to Chester Canalside Holiday’s 4 star Wharton Lock apartment and recognises the owners’ efforts in providing exceptional quality of accommodation and customer service.

“We set out 3 years ago to provide a luxury, self catering holiday apartment in The City of Chester, and we are delighted that the standard of the apartment and service we give our customers has been rewarded with this Gold award,” said owner, Sandra Jeffrey.

Visit Chester & Cheshire Head of Marketing, Nicola Said, added: “To receive Gold rating requires tremendous commitment. Sandra and her team should be proud of what they’ve achieved. It’s another feather in Chester’s visitor economy cap.”

Wharton Lock Apartment was also a finalist in the Self Catering Holiday category in this year’s Visit Chester & Cheshire Awards.
