Michelin starred chef Simon Rogan, as part of his mission to create a gastronomic centre in Cumbria has commissioned an award winning digital agency – Fudge, to produce the branding for his latest venture - Aulis Research.

Aulis Research, which opens next month is set to become the country’s most avant garde research facility dedicated to technical innovation in cooking, housed in the old post office in the small village of Cartmel, already home to two of his successful restaurants.

Described by Simon as ‘a place to create’: Aulis Research will focus on creating a healthier natural cuisine using native (wild) ingredients many of which have been long forgotten/ overlooked, using some of the 21st century’s most sophisticated techniques and drawing on his own extensive knowledge of each ingredient’s gastronomic heritage.

Gavin Bates, Creative Director describes the new logo as “a highly crafted, clean and contemporary marque that reflects the uniqueness of Simon Rogan’s new venture, but that also complements the branding already created for L’enclume and Rogan.”

David Eccles, MD of Fudge says: “We are challenged with creating an exciting identity, which will work on any level and across any platform, but will also sit comfortably with the identities that Fudge has already created for restaurants L’enclume and Rogans.”

Simon Rogan said “the new design sits well with the logos already produced and accurately reflects where we are going as a company and the image that we wish to portray.”
