Tourism Minister Margaret Hodge MP, shadow minister Don Foster and Conservative Tourism Taskforce Chair John Lewis will face questions from the tourism industry at the opening debate of Best of Britain and Ireland (BoBI) Travel Trade Forum on Wednesday 17 March.
This Tourism Question Time is the main pre-election opportunity for the industry to hear the three major political parties explain their policies and views on the industry in general.
The annual event is organised by the Tourism Society and is one of the few occasions where tourism policy is discussed by both decision-makers and the industry. With the election imminent, it will be the panel’s chance to reveal their plans for tourism if their party is elected to power.
Questions on policy, government commitment to tourism and London’s ability to host a world class Olympic Games will no doubt be raised.
Niall Gibbons, CEO, Tourism Ireland completes the panel and will offer an Irish perspective. The event will be chaired by Bernard Donoghue FTS, Head of Government & Public Affairs, VisitBritain.
The Tourism Society’s Tourism Question Time takes place at 11.0 Wednesday 17 March at the Best of Britain and Ireland Travel Trade Forum Olympia, London.
