A pub in Chester has taken its offering to another dimension, becoming one of the first pubs in the North West to install a 3D TV screen.
The Bouverie on Garden Lane has installed 3D Sky TV, with the first screening being the Man United v Chelsea clash on Saturday April 3.
Just as 3D cinema has grown in popularity, with films like Avatar and Alice In Wonderland being enhanced with 3D imagery, discerning pub customers are expecting even more when they watch their favourite teams.
Ian Wade, owner of Modern British Taverns, said:
“It’s great that the Bouverie is one of the first pubs in the North West to have 3D TV, which makes games even more realistic than Sky HD. The new screen at the Bouverie comes in good time for the World Cup matches this summer and we have 100 pairs of 3D glasses, so everyone will be able to follow their team in 3D.”
