Northcote Manor’s Nigel Haworth has been signed up by contract caterer BaxterStorey as a consultant chef.

Haworth, whose Lancashire restaurant holds a Michelin star, has been added to BaxterStorey’s Chef Academy line-up to provide training to the caterer’s chefs in the North.

Since 2003 BaxterStorey has worked with chef John Campbell, previously at the two-Michelin starred Vineyard at Stockcross but now at the Dorchester’s soon-to-open Coworth Park in Ascot, who will continue to provide training in the South.

Nigel said: “Working with a food service operator such as Baxter Storey whose approach has a great synergy with our beliefs, gives me the opportunity to drive the quality and skills to a larger workforce of chefs.

“To be able to play a role in helping build a new generation of chefs who possess the knowledge and skill to truly deliver regional menus was simply a programme that I felt compelled to be a part of and I’m delighted to be working with BaxterStorey.”

The caterer plans to appoint a consultant chef in Scotland shortly.
