Peckforton Castle, a Cheshire landmark and leading North West hotel is on track for the restoration of a formerly unused part of the building and the grand unveiling of its new £1.7 million facilities this summer, which include 11 luxury en-suite bedrooms, a brasserie and a mini spa.

Set to open in July following months of activity, the new facilities are being launched in direct response to business and leisure customer requirements and will allow this unique venue to expand its offering to these markets.

Already a hugely popular leisure and wedding venue – hosting as many as 190 weddings each year – Peckforton Castle has seen the demand for its conferencing facilities grow steadily during the past 18 months by 20% and believes the new amenities will attract an even greater number of corporate and leisure guests.

Peckforton Castle owner and managing director, Chris Naylor, comments: “This refurbishment forms part of our ongoing investment and fulfils our desire to restore this historic building to its former glory and consolidate its position as a leading North West venue.

“In addition to what we already offer in terms of unique meeting and conference rooms and superb team building event facilities, the extra bedrooms, the new Twenty10 Brasserie and the mini spa will offer even greater flexibility to all corporate and leisure guests, whether they’re staying for just one night, a mini leisure break, or an entire two-day conference.”

To coincide with the launch of the £1.7 million facilities, Peckforton Castle is introducing some additional features including a new breakfast menu – including a vast choice of hot and cold options ranging from Peckforton Castle muesli to sirloin steak – a new children’s menu and Cafe du Monde in room trays for that extra touch of decadence.

For corporate guests Peckforton Castle is offering a special celebratory package of just £30 including VAT for each day delegate rate and just £120 including VAT each 24 hour delegate.

Ten of the 11 new en-suite bedrooms, the Twenty10 brasserie and the mini spa, which will host three beauty treatment rooms, will open in July 2010. The eleventh bedroom will be available as soon as the bats have moved into their specially commissioned bat boxes.
