On Monday 21st February the Manchester Hoteliers Association (MHA) presented industry charity Hospitality Action (HA) with a cheque for £15,000. The donation was raised at the MHA annual ball held at the Ramada Piccadilly.
Just under 500 guests attended the evening which was sponsored by Heineken and Key 103 amongst others. Greater Manchester hoteliers plus a selection of suppliers and sponsors were all in attendance for this Mardi Gras themed night. The ball has become a hugely successful event with more money raised every year for the charity.
Stephen Miles, Chairman of the MHA said “The Manchester Hoteliers Association has raised £73,000 since 2004 for Hospitality Action. The service the charity offers to the industry is invaluable and we’re delighted to support the great work it does on our behalf.”
In 2010 HA assisted 62 people in the North West, spending a total of £44,395 on beneficiaries for reasons including life altering illnesses such as cancer, Multiple Sclerosis and lung disease, poverty, domestic violence and sick and disabled children.
