The five-star Chester Grosvenor hotel has signed a 10-year agreement to manage a boutique hotel in the city.
A team from Chester’s premier hotel will oversee a major redevelopment of Oddfellows restaurant with rooms, which is located in a Georgian building near the city centre.
Owned by a consortium of investors, Oddfellows will expand from four to 18 bedrooms, revamp its restaurant and bar and redevelop its garden.
The new restaurant will be created by executive chef Simon Radley, who holds a Michelin star at the Chester Grosvenor.
Radley, along with Chester Grosvenor’s managing director, Jonathan Slater (pictured), and finance director Fiona McBurnie, will form part of the management team who will work with the Oddfellows’ owners.
A spokesman for Oddfellows said: “We look forward to working with the Chester Grosvenor to establish a boutique hotel, restaurant and bar that continues to improve the city as a business and leisure destination.”
