QHotels has instructed  Christie + Co to sell four hotels from its portfolio, following a review of the business.

In refocusing its business, QHotels has decided the four hotels are no longer central to its future strategy.

The hotels, all of which are AA 4-Star rated, are: Aldwark Manor Golf & Spa Hotel in Alne, near York; Bridgewood Manor Hotel in Chatham, Kent; The Stratford Hotel in Stratford upon Avon; Park Royal Hotel, Stretton near Warrington.

QHotels has recently been crowned AA Eco Hotel Group of the Year 2011 as well as being awarded the highly accredited Carbon Trust Standard for reducing CO2 emissions year on year. The group was also the AA Hotel Group of the Year 2008/09.

Martin Davis, Director and Location Manager at Christie + Co, says: “With their high quality bedrooms, meeting and conferencing facilities and superb leisure and spa amenities, these four QHotels assets are certain to generate tremendous interest from both existing hotel operators and a variety of investors.”

Christie + co will be seeking first-round offers for the four hotels, on either a group or individual asset basis, by 11th May.
